AI images & media

Generate images with AI and attach media so a course looks finished, not like a draft. Every slide can carry an image — pasted from a URL, picked from your Library, or generated with AI — in preset positions and sizes, with a live preview. The PowerPoint (PPTX) download embeds the images in the file itself — real PowerPoint, fully editable — and SCORM, Common Cartridge and Moodle-backup exports carry them too; a slide whose image can't be fetched downloads as text-only rather than failing the file. A lesson's Media activity plays Canva designs inline, the way it plays YouTube and Vimeo — share the design so anyone with the link can view it.

Illustrate a whole deck

New decks come with a one-line image suggestion for each slide. “Illustrate all” makes an image for every slide that has one and no image yet — it tells you how many AI credits it will use and asks before it starts. Study guides and pages get Illustrate too: one or two AI images where they help, reviewed before you save.

Every AI image, checked

Each AI image is checked for accuracy before it lands — garbled text, wrong counts, a diagram that doesn't hold up. A slide that fails keeps its suggestion and gets no image. Your courses travel under your name; an honest blank beats a wrong picture.

AI Assistant

Cog is the EduGears AI assistant surface across the workspace — an “Ask Cog” panel that knows your open course and grounds answers in your materials. It now also answers product questions from EduGears AI's own manual and cites its sources (a help article, your own material, or a video walkthrough), and you can paste a question code like #8f759d to ask about that exact question, scoped to your organization's banks. As an agent, it also answers questions about the courses you publish — cohorts, redemptions, learner progress across every school that runs them — from your own analytics, read-only.

Attach textbooks, references, and decks. They ground every generation and power the course's AI tutor and Assistant.

Lesson generations that queue

Start several lessons back-to-back and later ones simply show “Queued” and run in turn — a failed lesson never wedges the ones behind it. You line up the work; the queue handles the order.

Content that knows its audience

Lesson plans generated in a module carry its target audience and learning level — read as prior knowledge, not an invented grade — and across every editor, ordinary prose is no longer auto-linked, so “B.Tech” stays a degree.

Watch it done

The “?” Help button opens a short filmed walkthrough for the page you're on — running time on the badge, captions in each language — a fair way to onboard a new author on your team.

On a wide screen the module player docks the lesson list beside the content — tick, circle, or lock per lesson, the current one highlighted and kept in view, collapsible and remembered per course. On phones and inside an LMS frame it stays a slide-out drawer.

A question navigator

Anyone sitting your quiz gets a “12/20” pill that opens a numbered grid — answered, unanswered, flagged, each with its own glyph and colour — and can jump straight to any question.

Flag for review & smarter retakes

Learners can flag a hard question and come back to it with a running count, and where you allow more than one attempt, a second attempt can start pre-filled with their prior answers so they fix only what was wrong.

Shuffled multiple-choice

Newly generated multiple-choice questions have their options shuffled on save, so the correct answer isn't disproportionately (A). You see all of this in Preview — the same page your learners get.
