Each seat comes with 100 one-time AI credits.
Every AI task draws AI credits, on every plan, from one cost table: 1 credit for an AI Tutor or Assistant message or an AI-graded question; 3 credits for a single text generation (a lesson, slides, a study guide, a worksheet, a page, a set of up to 5 questions, or decomposing a syllabus into a course); 10 credits to grade a submitted file or generate an image; and 100 credits for an AI video clip, flat per video — nothing is charged if it fails. The free plan comes with 100 one-time credits, and each Author Seat adds 100 one-time credits. After that, AI runs on AI credit packs ($10 for 1,000, never expire) or on your own AI keys, which draw no credits at all. A typical full course build is roughly 100–300 credits' worth of generation.

Nothing you've built is ever lost — your courses and content stay exactly as they are. To keep going, connect your own AI keys (available on the free plan too), or move to the Author Seat: each seat adds 100 one-time AI credits, and you can buy AI credit packs on top. Credit packs are an Author Seat option, so on the free plan the way forward is your own keys or a seat.
Plans are self-serve and billed annually. Cancel from Plan & Billing inside the app whenever you like, and you keep access until the end of the year you've paid for. The free plan is the trial: annual fees are non-refundable once the subscription is active, except duplicate or erroneous charges reported within 14 days. If a renewal payment fails, your plan stays active for about 14 days while the payment is retried.

The free plan is for schools, universities, training providers, publishers and other organizations. Sign up with an email address on your organization's own domain. We review every new free account, and an account we can't verify — for example, one registered with a personal address such as Gmail or Outlook — is deactivated automatically. AI credits are one-time rather than monthly: the free plan's 100 credits and the 100 that come with each Author Seat are granted once and don't renew with the subscription, so there is nothing to reset or roll over. AI credits you buy in packs never expire — they stay available until you use them.
Any LMS that supports LTI 1.3 — Canvas, Moodle, Schoology, and more — can redeem your access code. And every course can also be exported to SCORM, Common Cartridge, or Moodle .mbz for everything else.
